Begging the question is a kind of circular logic - the conclusion is equivalent to one of the premises.

"No True Scotsman" is one of the perennial fallacies used in political and religious arguments - it amounts to defining a word in an unusual way - leaving open the question of whether anyone is really a true (whatever).

For another example - can anyone tell me what the "Twinkie Defense" is?

Note: at my presentation of this material, someone in the audience gave exactly the explanation I needed given - that the lawyers for man who killed Harvey Milk had claimed that he did it because of eating too many twinkies and he got away with it. I was surprised that some in the audience were unfamiliar with the story, but no one knew the true story, so I was set.
